120 mm Self-propelled Mortar GMM-120

120 mm caliber Georgian made self-propelled mortar mounted on the basis of 3 axis off-road truck is equipped with modern fire control, navigation and weapon aiming digital systems. It can position itself, aim and fire in few seconds.

GMM-120 is equipped with a global navigation system GPS, tactical tablet-computers and highly protected communications system. This enables the vehicle to acquire the properties of an autonomous firing vehicle and provide possibilities to be integrated in the entire troop command and control system.

The self-propelled mortar is designed to provide fire support for light infantry or mechanized units, to destroy enemy’s manpower, firing points, fortified engineering buildings, light armored vehicles and other targets.

The design of the fighting vehicle includes two main components: three compartment hull and 120 mm caliber self-propelled mortar module.

In the front compartment a driver and one crew member is placed who can shoot from 12.7 mm caliber anti-aircraft machine gun mounted on a special roof door. In the middle compartment four crew members are placed including the commander whose working table is arranged at the left side of the vehicle. Near the commander’s working table, a tablet-computer and a radio station is located. During the combat situation the commander’s computer can also perform the functions of fire control center at battery and division levels.
